Modeled after a 17^th-century manor house and tucked away in verdant FDR Park, the American Swedish Historical Museum is truly one of Philadelphia’s hidden gems.

Rental of the American Swedish Historical Museum includes the use of all the museum’s public spaces during your event. Your guests will enjoy browsing our fantastic galleries, which feature original period paintings, furniture, and textiles. My fiancé and I looked at many places in Philadelphia for our wedding. We wanted something unique, classy but on a budget. From the minute that we meet with Mandy on our site tour of the American Swedish Historical Museum we were hooked. It's in the middle of FDR Park so you have great outdoor scenery and the outdoor space at the museum is also beautiful, many places for photos! Inside is a beautiful staircase too! I can't say enough good things about the place and Mandy, she is the best. This place is a MUST see if you are looking at venues for your wedding.
