Located in the heart of Radnor, Bolingbroke is an 18th-century colonial mansion with four charming reception rooms, two spacious terraces, and beautiful secluded gardens. The rear yard provides a picturesque outdoor ceremony site and there is ample parking for guests.

Bolingbroke is conveniently located just a half mile from Route 476. For over 50 years, Bolingbroke has been providing an ideal setting for wedding ceremonies and receptions, rehearsal dinners, private parties and corporate events. Within the mansion, up to 120 guests can be accommodated comfortably.

The back garden area features an attractive raised stairway and landing and is frequently used for wedding ceremonies and photo shoots. The rear lawn provides ample space for seating for ceremonies and dining and cocktails. The large side covered porch off the living room is also available to use as a dining area. The large side porch area can be enclosed to create a cozier space or add protection from the weather.

In the spring of 1991, Catering By Design (CBD) came to life. And with it, came an entirely new way of entertaining that blended expertly prepared cuisine with a striking conceptual design. Since that time, we have crafted unforgettable events, unlike anything that had ever come before. This unique enterprise was founded by Peter Loevy, a graduate of Colgate University and The Restaurant School and a seasoned veteran of the restaurant and catering industry. This complementary combination of culinary, design and hospitality experiences has made Catering By Design Philadelphia’s preeminent event coordinators featuring a full-time design staff.

Catering By Design is the purposeful manifestation of pairing food and design in every last detail of an event. The menu, décor, entertainment, and facilities are all crafted specifically for each occasion. We approach every menu and design element with you in mind, integrating our flavors to represent you and your needs. We respect how flavors, like people, interact. This philosophy helps us execute each event with the perfect amount of style and flair, from understated and elegant to spectacular and dramatic.
